I love this idea, and the time and energy invested in this is undeniable.
The amount of detail in the land masses is amazing, with use of ocean ridges as mountains, and the idea of the Pacific becoming a vast desert are all really awesome ideas. The mountain ridges and frosted areas look realistic and believable.

But there are some areas that I have some concerns over. The ocean areas don't appear to have as much care put into them, they seem kind of last minute to me. That, and the lack of frozen oceans at the poles seems to snap me out of my suspension of disbelief; as well as the lack of an Antarctic Ocean.

The second half, the night-time map is a really interesting piece of work, and show careful study of real-world maps and mastery of replicating such looks, while creating his/her own work.
